Elders Forestry Management Limited began in 1991 when eucalypt pulpwood plantations were first established in the south-west of Western Australia. Today, Elders Forestry manages in excess of 170,000 hectares of plantations in Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and Queensland on behalf of retail and wholesale investors. Harvesting of the earliest plantings commenced in July 2004, with harvesting now fully operational in both the Bunbury and Albany regions. Esperance harvesting operations are set to commence in late 2008.

With a strong commitment to active management of the Company's environmental responsibilities, Elders Forestry was the first retail funded forestry manager to achieve the internationally recognised Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certification for its plantations in Southern Australia. Elders Forestry also holds the environmental certification standard IS0 14001 for management of its plantation estate.
Elders Forestry supply PPT both FSC certified and controlled wood for the export market. Elders Forestry and PPT have a policy on controlled wood, which is available to the public to view and will be available to download in the near future.
