2.5 million tonne woodchip export facility announced at Port of Portland
Australia's three leading hardwood plantation forestry managers have announced the planned construction of a world-scale woodchip export facility at the Port of Portland in Victoria. The three companies are working together with Port of Portland Limited (POPL) to finalise the design and construction of the new facility, which will be owned by POPL, and have established a joint venture company (Portland Chip Terminal Pty Ltd) to lease and operate the facility from POPL.
