Elders Forestry investors are provided with the opportunity to insure their investment (subject to the availability of appropriate insurance).
Plantation insurance* is designed to limit the loss investors may suffer should timber in their investment be damaged or destroyed by one of the following events:
- Fire due to any cause
- Windstorm (including cyclone)
- Hail, malicious damage and impact.
The cost of insurance and nature of cover available is determined annually and takes into account the following factors:
- The state of the insurance market at the time the cover is sought.
- Plantation maturity
